Patent Counsel

Quoc Vu has extensive experience in intellectual property law and portfolio management. He has drafted and prosecuted numerous utility and provisional patent applications for telecommunications, electrical, software and computing inventions. Mr. Vu has also conducted patentability assessments, infringement analyses and freedom-to-operate opinions. Additionally, he has acted as the point-person for corporate in-house litigation matters and was the corporate representative for patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including Inter-Partes Review (IPR) proceedings.

Prior to joining Guntin & Gust, Mr. Vu was Patent and Litigation Counsel first with ARRIS GROUP International honing his experience with increasing scope of responsibilities and then with CommScope (which acquired ARRIS Group International).

Other Professional Experience

Mr. Vu began his career as an Engineer at Broadcom Corporation where he designed and tested integrated circuits for broadband communication applications.  He then joined The Aerospace Corporation advising senior intelligence leaders on a wide range of company hardware and software technology initiatives.
