Jay H. Anderson

Of Counsel

Mr. Anderson started his career in engineering with I.B.M. Technology Products where he became a Staff Engineer focusing on the development of laser-assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) processes.  Mr. Anderson also worked as a Member of the Technical Staff at AT&T Teletype Corporation where he had responsibilities in the installation and qualification of plasma CVD systems.  He furthered his engineering experience at Materials Research Corporation where his responsibilities included the development of etch processes for silicon and system hardware enhancements as a Senior Engineer.

Mr. Anderson has counseled clients in the prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications in various technology areas that generally include electrical, mechanical, e-commerce and software arts, and more specifically, semiconductors, control systems, Internet applications, business methods, device packaging and medical devices.

Mr. Anderson also has experience in patentability and infringement analysis, patent portfolio evaluations, and due diligence.  As in-house counsel at I.B.M., Mr. Anderson gained an understanding of best practices by Fortune 100 companies, which he applies to counseling clients of the firm.
