Having an entrepreneurial spirit himself, Mr. Kwan enjoys working with inventors to help them identify, prepare, and protect new methodologies and technical advancements through the U.S. patent application process.
While at Harrity & Harrity, LLP, Mr. Kwan’s patent prosecution work encompassed a wide range of technologies, including: wireless communication systems, networking systems, drones, financial security systems and medical devices.
During the prior seven years at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, Mr. Kwan was involved in the entire patent prosecution process from invention disclosure interviews, to patent application preparation, Office Action responses and examiner interviews. In addition, he worked with in-house counsel assisting with strategic planning, enforcement options, licensing, IP due diligence and product development strategies.
Mr. Kwan began his career in Intellectual Property as a USPTO Patent Examiner in Art Unit 2625 (scanners, printers and fax).
Other Professional Experience
Mr. Kwan worked as an Electrical Engineer for Lockheed Martin Corp. where he led an R&D initiative which included mission system design, development and testing for U.S. Navy helicopters.
