Matthew Tropper

Of Counsel

Mr. Tropper began his engineering career with Grumman Corporation, where he worked in the RF antenna laboratory developing test software. Further engineering experience was obtained at a family run start-up corporation involved with mobile telecommunications. There, he coded both client-side and server-side software infrastructure for a later-generation mobile phone performance characterization system.

Mr. Tropper has drafted and prosecuted patents at a number of intellectual property law firms including Cooper & Dunham, Drier & Baritz, Greenberg Traurig, and Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser. Consequently, Mr. Tropper has worked extensively with inventors and decision-makers to develop patent portfolios in a wide area of technical fields including wireless telecommunications, software, computer networking, Internet, electronics, medical devices, imaging, printers, financial and business methods.

Mr. Tropper also has experience in client counseling, drafting numerous patentability opinions, non-infringement/invalidity opinions, and prior art invalidity searching.
